There are many reasons why Great Basin Resource Watch works with regional communities to monitor the issues that impact them most. GBRW works to educate and organize to mitigate the impacts of record-level mercury emissions, massive wasting of precious groundwater reserves, or abandoned radioactive mines.

This perpetual pollution without proper cleanup ultimately drastically impacts the health of people, precious water and pristine lands, and the economic future of our local communities.
